The management of Deepak Nitrite has updated stock exchange with respect to fire incident around warehouse of Company’s manufacturing site located at Nandesari, District Vadodara, in the state of Gujarat, the Company, after testing and carrying out restoration steps, submitted stability certificates and other necessary documents to the concerned authorities and upon verification, the authorities found the safety compliances by the Company in order and to their satisfaction.

All local and state bodies concur on the current status and action taken report. The Boiler inspector and PESO (hazardous material storage) have also affirmed security of the assets and thus Gujarat Pollution Control Board has issued directions revoking the closure order, currently for two months and permitted the Company to operate part of the plant i.e. 50% of the consented capacity of Nitro Section.

The stability studies of rest of the facilities are also completed after carrying out necessary actions at Plant and utilities barring some portion of Nitrite section facility which requires further structural strengthening. The Company is in the process of submitting all the stability reports along with other documents to the authorities. The authorities, upon verification of the safety compliances of plant, including actions taken by the Company to restart the operations, are expected to give their consent to restart.

As regards portion of Nitrite section facility, after structural strengthening, the Company shall submit the stability certificate to the authorities for them to verify and allow to restart that portion of the Nitrite section facility as well which will then enable the Company to operate at the full capacity. Activities in this regard is already taken up and the Company is on its way to complete at the soonest possible time frame.
